{What happened today?}

Today, it was poster presentation day. Students from all around the world would go around share interesting ideas, for example, the effect of de-icers on plant growth, measuring the concentration of lead in a piece of fish fillet, etc. Afterwards, we went to an art museum where we tried to appreciate different works of art  that came from different parts of the world.

{What is the cause of the success or failure?}

The poster was successful due to various factors. First, it was due to the sheer hard work that I have put in as I had to stay up several nights to make sure the mathematical model and the experimentation works as expected. Next, it is due to the support of my friends and teachers, as they have patiently listened to me present to them again and again.

Generalising
{What have you learnt?}

From this, I have learnt a few things. First, I have learnt that being critical for a research plays a very vital role as that determines your credibility and shows that what you are claiming is not nonsensical. Next, I learnt that while you can have the best research, but you will still lose the competition if you are not even confident to begin with. Lastly, I learnt how to appreciate art because never have I had the opportunity to sit down and actually try to examine all the details in a piece of art.

{What would you do in the future?}

In the future, I would try to explore new things apart from mathematics and science so that I am more open-minded to other aspects of life. Next, I would want to continue to be hard working so that I can maintain the successes that I can achieve. Lastly, I would want to be more confident in myself.
